THE PRESIDENT OF THE BIG ISLAND ASSOCIATION OF NURSERYMEN WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE ITS 2019 SPRING HORTICULTURAL SHOW AND PLANT SALE TO TAKE PLACE MARCH 8TH FRIDAY 5PM TO 9PM AND AGAIN MARCH 9TH SATURDAY 9AM TO 2PM at the EDITH KANAKAOLE STADIUM behind HPM in HILO. NURSERIES HAVE VOWED TO INCREASE THE SUPPLY OF PLANTS TO THIS SALE. DUE TO THE UPTURN OF THE ECONOMY OUR LAST 2 SALES LEFT VENDORS WITH OUT PLANTS BY SALES END. PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMEN OF THE SALE SEAN SPELLICY SUGGESTS THE PUBLIC MAY WANT TO BRING BOXES SUITABLE FOR THE EXPECTED PLANTS THEY PLAN TO BUY AS WE HAD ONLY A FEW SMALLER BOXES AT SALES END LAST LABOR DAY.

THE BIG ISLAND ASSOCIATION OF NURSERYMEN 2018 LABOR DAY PLANT SALE IS SET TO TAKE PLACE AUGUST 31st and SEPTEMBER 1st AT THE EDITH KANAKAOLE STADIUM HILO, HAWAII FRIDAY 5pm TO 9pm SATURDAY 9am TO 2pm CHAIRPERSON SPELLICY SAYS DUE TO THE RECENT ERUPTION OUR LINE UP OF NURSERIES HAS CHANGED BUT THERE WILL BE A FULL STADIUM OF PLANTS TO CHOOSE FROM.
2018 BIAN Labor Day Plant Sale and Show will be Friday, August 31 from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday, September 1 from 9am to 2pm at the Edith Kanakaole Stadium in Hilo. A number of local nurseries will be participating with a wide variety of edible and ornamental plants. The Hawaii Dept. of Agriculture will be available to inspect plants for inter-island transport. The stadium is located on Kalanikoa St. near the intersection with Pi’ilani St.
Due to the current eruption, Kea’au Community Center is being used as a shelter. The New Variety Introduction Seminar on May 19, 2018 is cancelled. Once we have rescheduled the event, we will post a new data and location. Thanks for your understanding during this difficult time for Puna residents.
